About Us

Barrow Digital Photography Club is based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, UK

The club was founded in 2004 to help improve the skills of a growing number of digital camera users both compact and SLR.

Club Aims

The aims of the club are to help improve your knowledge of how a camera works, use of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, custom functions, how to improve your photogrpahy and how to process your images using software on your PC.

Club meets

Every Tuesday night 7:30pm in the Labour Club, Cavendish Street, Barrow-in-Furness between September and May, usually breaking for summer.

Club facilities

We have access to a laptop and projector, monitor calibration kit and mount cutting kit.


We have regular internal club member competitions projected and print and inter club competitions, technical/practical evenings covering such topics as flash photography, studio lighting and mount cutting and table top photography, we also have guest speakers and presentations.
