Brighton Pavilion – Carole Palmer

Brighton Pavillion at Dusk

Taken at f16 over 5 seconds at ISO 200 with a wide angle lens at 10mm on a tripod.

I took this photo after feedback from a judge on another long exposure photo I’d taken at night. The judge said shooting at dusk can often improve the sky for long exposure shots, so I gave it a try with this photo during a stay in Brighton last year.

Saw this Building and knew it would look good as a Black & White picture. the Sky was amazing too which helps the building stand out.

4th Place

20 Fenchurch Street – John Harrison

” 20 Fenchurch Street” which is the proper name of the building but it also has the nickname  “The Walkie-Talkie”

I was attracted to the blues of the building and sky. I used a low angle to try and emphasise the height of the building and add a dynamic feel to the picture.
